Ride Reports:

Phil Laxton: European trip. June Isle of Man, no one died, first time in 40 years, weather mostly good. Then onto Germany riding BMW F900XR. There were 9 bikes with 15 people.  Bike handled well. Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia. Go pro video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIDo--Y15J0

In Phil’s opinion we don’t have mountains in Australia we have hills, roads to 2700metres. Snow and sleet. A highlight was getting run over by a Slovenian truck driver in Italy.

Rod is organising another European ride this time next year.

Last lunch ride: There were a half a dozen riders, the route was Gerrigong via Kangaroo Valley, Wottamolla Road with lunch at the Fisherman’s Club then onto Jamberoo. The road was very wet. We passed two bikes bogged to their sumps on the side of the road.

Track days John Diaz: Pheasant’s Wood 6 members attended.  Enjoyable day, Pat Marshall dropped his bike on the 2nd corner, Troy Corser recommended at least 4 laps to warm up tyres. Open Pit so you could ride as much as you wanted. Callaghan was very quick. The ‘Green Ninja’.

Coffee Ride:  Sunday only 2 riders, Robertson, Home via range Road, compacted clay, flogging rain. Got through without falling over.  John and Bill Fleming.

Stephen Gee: Goulburn 100 year:  magnificent, terrific bikes, bikes went in decade order. 91 year old rider. Raining cold and horrible in the Highlands but sunny by Marulan and a lovely  day. Very big crowd, well run. Jeff Cohen impressed with the old bikes being ridden.  Rudge 2nd owner and ’23 Harley both 2nd owners.  Jeff suggests photos for club web page.  Send to Rod and he’ll organise photos.
