Website:
Richard an apology, website up and running but refinements being made.
Ongoing Actions:
Rod sent out proposed design, spent time sourcing a provider, has found a supplier who will do our plates covers.
Rob a HMCEC or HMCEMCC? Not a big deal either or.
Rod lost his club plate Saturday after Bikes and Coffee so could not do a complete check on plate size.
Both same size for normal plate according to Robin.
Rod has ordered 50 at $14.90 plus art work, will sell for $16 for each surround.
Club will pay $800 and sell at $16 each.
John suggests that the club provide one freebie for each member and then members buy subsequent plates.
Issue of club buying plate was discussed at committee meeting and it was decided to charge members.
Rob thinks we should subsidise safety courses, not plates in same way as members buy their own merchandise. It would cost over $2200 for the club to provide a plate surround for each member.
Paul R proposed at the committee meeting to provide a plate but put membership fees up the corresponding account. Committee decided against that idea and voted for plate to be sold at cost and membership fees kept at the same level.
Col suggested we pay $16 including the artwork, why not just $15 and club pays for artwork. Rod suggest run of $50, sell to core group of members and if demand is there we order more.
Rod outlined upcoming expenses so was against club providing free plate surrounds.
Show of hands:
Shall we move forward, club pays $800 for initial 50 plates: Move approved
Is artwork acceptable: Yes
Does club pay $50 for artwork and charge members $15 for each plate for members: Yes
Dennis suggest $10 with club picking up difference. Will revisit for second run of plate surrounds.
Michael C: If I buy 10 can I get one free?
Rod: Club charity of choice, we traditionally make a donation to Canassist of $1000 for Christmas.
$1000 donation proposed to Canassist: John Ogden/ Seconded Paul R passed with strong show of hands.
Club Christmas Breakfast: Sunday 10 December at Schmokin’.
Scmokin’ breakfast at club cost $14 head, get a ticket from Rob or Rod for egg and bacon roll and drink. Last year 40 members, expecting 40-50 this year. Ride after to Robo pie shop. Lunch at Kevin’s, Watson Road following.
The Christmas lunch at Kevin’s $10 individual contribution with club to cover additional costs. Rod will send email reminder tonight. Money to be paid before lunch. RSVP: 15th of November
Ride Reports:
Last Sunday’s ride John Diaz and Col: Cold and misty. Bundanoon, Penrose, Wingello drizzled. John’s mirror worked lose, Col had a flat front. Return ride wet, cold and miserable. Decision not to go was a wise one.
Paul R: Ride to Edi Cutting near Wangarratta, Victoria for the Spaghetti Rally. Wet and cold ride down but a very enjoyable rally run by the Victorian Moto Guzzi Club.
Coffee and bikes at Scmokin.
Saturday 25th November Goulburn car and motorcycle show. Goulburn recreation area.
Club ride this Sunday, might be wet. Location to be determined.
Dirt bike Tuesday 14, James Baldwin to lead on a state forest tour ending at brewery. Begins at Wingelo shop 8.30.
