Thanks to everyone attending last night’s meeting, and especially the committee for their hard work.
The most notable point from last night’s meeting was the announcement that according to the constitution of the club if your club fees are more than three months overdue you are no longer a member of the club, and that means any bikes you have on club plates are no longer registered. New memberships will also now attract a $20 joining fee. We’ve also set the day for the club Xmas party, on Sunday December 1st starting 9:30 at Schmokin, following the same format as last year-free coffee and egg and bacon roll then a short ride.
So what’s happening this month?
Bikes and coffee is on Saturday starting at noon, and is an excellent excuse to pull out your old bikes for a short run out to Schmokin’ at Berrima.
This Sunday’s lunch ride is to the National Heritage Motoring Day at Berry Showgrounds, 10:00am leaving time from the clock in Moss Vale. The flyer is attached to this email, we should get down there around 11:00 am. Entry cost is $5 cash at the gate.
The following Sunday the 22nd is the memorial ride for Rod Barrett. We will assemble at Schmokin’ at Berrima from 9am with a ride to Gunning with lunch at the Telegraph Hotel departing at 10:30am. We’ll pass a hat around for donations to the Brain Foundation in Rod’s name, Martin from Schmokin’ will also make a donation so we should get in and support them as well. Nathan Buckley from Cars and Coffee has also said he’d put the word around the car guys as well, so should be a reasonable crowd.
The usual Thursday rides are on the 12th and 26th August leaving Bradman Oval at 9:30am and Mick Lendrum’s excellent Southern Highlands Imperial Tour is on Wednesday 25th, also leaving from Bradman oval at 9:30am. Cars and coffee is on Sunday 29 September and is always a good show.
Sunday 6 October has the coffee ride leaving from the clock at 9:45am.
Next club meeting is Monday 14th October, see you then
